Ballpoint Adventures 8/3/23 Hate and the Death Penalty
Does this seem hypocritical to anyone else?
Why is it ok to kill a guy who can spend the rest of his life in prison, unable to harm to society? Killing him will just let him die, thinking he’s a martyr for the cause—a person people will remember as a hero. Lock him away and he’s much less inspirational. AND there’s the part where you don’t turn your state into a murderer. If killing is wrong, killing is wrong. Right? Saying it’s legal doesn’t change that. Now the state and the people represented by it have figurative blood on their hands. There’s a Shakespeare play about how hard it is to get that figurative blood off! You don’t want to go there!
